Absolutely disgusting! Negative: This was, without exaggeration, one of the most unacceptable accommodation experiences I have ever encountered. The property had clearly not been cleaned prior to our arrival, but it goes far beyond that. The beds had not been changed. We found visible hair and what appeared to be bodily fluids in the bedding, which is completely unhygienic and frankly disturbing. There were also no basic amenities provided — no toilet paper, no coffee, no tea, nothing that would be considered a minimum standard for a guest stay. What is even more concerning is the owner’s response. Rather than acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, there has been a complete lack of accountability and an attempt to downplay what is, objectively, a severe hygiene failure. This is not a minor oversight. Itis a fundamental breach of basic accommodation standards. I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here.

Location near the lake Positive: Location was great, the lake was right on our doorstep, was very comfortable and everything we needed.

Beautiful and convenient location - housekeeping needs some improvement Positive: A lovely location on a quiet street, very close to Lake Wendouree. Shopping and other facilities only a short drive away. The house was quite charming inside and it seemed mostly clean and tidy. The property manager was responsive to my communications. The bed was very cosy. Negative: Disappointed in a few, relatively minor things. Arrived to a full dishwasher that hadn't been emptied, no teatowels, a used towel hanging in the bathroom, and other than a complimentary bottle of wine (I don't drink), the staples on offer were limited to a couple of tea bags and some sugar. There was a dank, damp smell to the bathroom space, and the dryer's lint filter was overflowing. The back garden was overgrown with weeds everywhere and things just looked unloved in the outdoor space.

Great place, great host, great location. Positive: Great location very close to the lake, nice old 3 bedder with plenty of room and well appointed. Communication from Edward was exceptional. Great place to stay if you’re heading to Ballarat. Negative: The screen door could use a new soft closer other than that loved it.
